BirdSEED awarded three grants in Philadelphia to the following title companies: $5,000 to BHHS Fox and Roach Realtors for the purchase of 818 N Union Street, Philadelphia by Rachel Honore $10,000 to Core Abstract for the purchase of 7340 Garman Street, Philadelphia, PA 19153 by Tenesha Davis $10,000 to Core Abstract for the purchase of 2558 S 67th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19142 by Demetrius Richardson In the Washington DC area, birdSEED worked with the Greater Washington Community Foundation to administer grants to title companies for the purchase of 7 homes. At the close of 2023, the fund maintained by the Greater Washington Community Foundation for the benefit of birdSEED's housing justice grant program had a balance of $78,451. We had a total of 9 grantees with $70,000 in provisional grants looking for homes at year end.
