“The nigeria digital inclusion program now known as digital skills nigeria (dsn) is a multi-year, multi-stakeholder private-public-non-profit partnership designed by microsoft for the purpose of building the capacity of key government mdas to offer sustainable, scalable reskilling and employment services aligned to the local labor markets. The program focuses on providing access to digital skills training (from digital literacy to advanced traininng) for young people in nigeria between the ages of 16-35 years. Dsn is implemented as a collaboration between microsoft, the federal ministry of communication and digital economy, tech4dev, private and public sector stakeholders. As part of the project strategy to ensure access to resources and sustainability for train the trainer redelivery via civil servant master trainers, flash drives which contained training resources were procured for distribution to 10,000 select civil servants who were to be trained and supported as master trainers on the project.”

“The women techsters initiative is an experiential learning technology upskilling program for young girls and women within the ages of 16 and 40 years across africa. The program is aimed at bridging the digital and technology knowledge divide between men and women in the technology ecosystem, as well as ensuring equal access to opportunities for women and girls. The training provides varying degrees of digital, deep tech and soft skills training required within the technology ecosystem to beneficiaries.
