IRS990ScheduleF/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0Children R Future cross-checks the names of partner organizations and responsible individuals, when applicable, against publicly available U.S. sanctions lists, including the U.S. Department of the Treasurys Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Currency conversions for reported expenditures are based on average annual exchange rates or actual transaction rates, depending on the supporting documentation.
IRS990ScheduleF/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1Children R Future, a Missouri nonprofit, supports more than 1,500 sick, disabled, or orphaned children in the Middle East, primarily in Iran. Children R Future monitors all foreign funds through a structured due-diligence and reporting process. Before providing assistance, the organization conducts a pre-grant review to verify the legitimacy and reliability of local partners, including clinics, hospitals, caregivers, and suppliers. Written agreements outline the purpose of each grant and the required financial and program reports. Partners submit receipts, medical documentation, and beneficiary updates, which are reviewed for accuracy and completeness. When feasible, the organization conducts remote monitoring and obtains independent confirmations from local contacts, with occasional on-site reviews. Funds are disbursed in stages and only upon satisfactory reporting. If irregularities are identified, Children R Future may withhold funds, request additional documentation, or discontinue support.
IRS990ScheduleF/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2Foreign grants, medical support payments, and aid provided to children, families, and partner healthcare organizations are recorded on the accrual basis. Obligations are recognized when the organization commits to providing assistance. Conditional commitments are expensed only when the required conditions (e.g., verification of medical need or receipt of documentation) have been met. Children R Future Charity operates across multiple provinces, cities, towns, villages, and underserved regions to support sick and orphaned children throughout Iran. The organizations main service hubs are located in Shahroud and Semnan. Additional areas of activity include: Qir and Karzin County in Fars Province; villages and cities within Sib and Soran in Sistan and Baluchestan Province; the cities of Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Babol, Qir, Karzin, Ferdows, Ahvaz, and other underserved communities throughout Khuzestan Province. Children R Future Charity partners with local networks and community centers in these regions to identify vulnerable children, deliver humanitarian assistance, and ensure that orphaned and medically fragile children receive the support they need.
IRS990ScheduleF/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3Program service expenses for activities conducted outside the United States, including medical treatment, surgeries, dietary support for patients, medications, and skill-building programs for mothers of orphans, are accounted for using the accrual method. Costs are recognized when the liability or service obligation arises, regardless of when payments are disbursed.
IRS990ScheduleF/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt4The estimated number of beneficiaries is based on detailed program records, medical documentation, partner reporting, and annual case reviews. Children R Future directly supports approximately 1,500 children diagnosed with PKU, Epidermolysis Bullosa, cancer, and other serious medical conditions.
