| The Northern Nevada Moses Project operated the Randon Acts 2035 program as a rural outreach initiative serving vulnerable individuals in rural Southern South Dakota. During the year, the program supported approximately 275 people, including foster children, children in kinship and guardianship care, homeless and at risk youth, disabled adults, and veterans. Random Acts 2035 was created to respond quickly to urgent needs and to provide essential items to individuals who often have limited access to resources due to poverty, isolation, or crisis situations. The program supplied clothing, shoes, hygiene items, bedding, beds, backpacks for foster children, food support, comfort bags, and other basic necessities at no cost. Many of the individuals served were experiencing sudden transitions, emergency placements, or unstable living conditions. Foster and guardianship children often entered care with few belongings, and the program provided immediate support to help stabilize placements. Disabled adults and veterans received beds, bedding, clothing, and essential household items to improve safety and living conditions. By providing these materials, the program helped reduce hardship and promote stability for individuals facing difficult circumstances. Random Acts 2035 relied on approximately 20 volunteers who played a key role in making the clothing giveaway successful. Volunteers assisted with sorting donations, preparing clothing kits, assembling hygiene supplies, and distributing items during a community clothing giveaway. This event supported children, youth, and adults who lacked access to affordable apparel due to financial hardship or geographic isolation. Volunteers also helped deliver items to families who could not travel due to transportation barriers or distance. The program worked closely with other nonprofits, community partners, and members of the community in school settings to identify needs and coordinate support. These partnerships helped ensure that children and families in rural areas received timely assistance. Collaboration with school staff allowed the program to reach students who needed clothing, hygiene items, or basic supplies but had limited access to resources. Working with local nonprofits and community organizations strengthened outreach efforts and expanded the programs ability to respond to urgent situations. Throughout the year, Random Acts 2035 played an important role in supporting vulnerable populations across rural southern South Dakota. The program helped reduce financial strain on caregivers, provided stability for children entering foster or guardianship care, and offered essential support to disabled adults and veterans who were rebuilding their lives. By supplying basic necessities at no cost, the program promoted dignity and improved quality of life for individuals experiencing hardship. The program also strengthened community connections by engaging volunteers, donors, schools, and partner agencies in meeting the needs of underserved populations. The work of Random Acts 2035 demonstrated the importance of rapid response, compassionate assistance, and consistent support for individuals who often face barriers to accessing help. Through its services, the Northern Nevada Moses Project advanced its mission to provide essential needs, reduce hardship, and support stability for vulnerable individuals living in rural communities. | $27,200 | $27,200 |
| Turkey for Kids is an annual program that provides complete Thanksgiving meal kits to children and families experiencing financial hardship. The program addresses seasonal food insecurity by supplying households with the essential components of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Meal kits include a turkey, standard side dishes, and basic pantry items that allow families to prepare a full meal at home. During the tax year, the organization distributed 216 complete Thanksgiving dinners to families identified through community partners, schools, and local service agencies. The program required the participation of approximately 40 volunteers who assisted with meal kit assembly, coordination, and distribution. Several organizations and community businesses contributed resources, space, and support to ensure the program could be carried out effectively. By providing full meal kits, the program reduces the financial burden associated with purchasing holiday foods, which may be cost prohibitive for families with limited income. The objectives of the program are to reduce food insecurity during the holiday season, ensure children have access to an adequate holiday meal, and support family stability by offsetting food costs that may otherwise compete with essential expenses. The distribution of 216 meal kits represents measurable progress toward these objectives and reflects the organizations ongoing efforts to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families in the community. | $12,622 | $12,622 |
