“Help with training and scholarships will be provided predominantly in the State of Tamil Nadu, in India, where there is currently a need for more providers for patients with Brain injury. Educational seminars or webinars will be held both in USA and in India.”

“SwaRa Brain Train Charities encourages medical and non-medical volunteers, to contribute to educational and research activities in southern India, for the prevention and early management of brain injuries, to prevent long term sequela. As of now, to our knowledge, there is only one similar not for profit organization, which provides similar services in three cities in Northern India, and none in the southern part. In a country with more than a billion population, this is grossly insufficient. The founder of our charity was motivated to found this organization, as both her parents succumbed to complications from Brain injury and she personally experienced how difficult it was to get well trained caregivers, to provide personal care and rehabilitation in the form of physical and speech therapy and cognitive re-training.”

“The organization had only recently been founded and as such, the contributions were all from the founder, to set up sufficient funding, to enable us to commence our program activities. Once we have established these activities, we will be able to initiate fundraising activities, to raise further public funding for continued operations.”
