“The draft 990 is reviewed first by the Financial Oversight/Audit Committee of the SIU Board. Next, the draft 990 is reviewed by full SIU Board.The final 990 is reviewed by the SIU Board at its next quarterly meeting.”

“SIU holds quarterly meetings to discuss policies, increases in salary for the CEO, financials, and reports about how funds are used to fulfill the organizations mission. All policies, including the conflict of interest policy, are held in a separate binder in the office.”

“Compensation for the CEO is determined by the finance committee of the board of directors. The committee reviews the duties required by the CEO, and researchs the going rate of CEOs in similar positions with similar duties.”

“Compensation is approved by the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. Wages paid to these individuals are for their duties as employees or independent contractors of the organization. These wages are commensurate with similar duties of similar positions at other organizations. Increases are presented and reviewed by the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.”

“Governing documents, financial reports and tax returns are maintained at the SIU office. Parties requesting said documents will be provided copies within 30 days of the initial request. Parties may be charged a small fee for volumes of copies.”

“Part III Line 4 - Statement of Program Accomplishments:SIU Bridges training for grassroots church planters, disciple makers and local leaders is focused on storytelling the Bible to traditional, oral cultures. These trainings have been very effective for evangelism, discipleship and for multiplication of disciple making momentum among least-reached non or semi-literate people groups. Approximately $255,280 was used for international travel expenses for our US based trainers to travel overseas and mentor/train our indigenous partners. In addition, $157,760 was distributed in training grants provided to our international partners, enabling them to replicate the training and effectively equip and train local leaders. Total international field training expenses were $606,495. >In 2016, 28,679 workers were trained in 866 events in 24 countries. 1,093 Master and 3,102 Local Trainers were equipped to plant Oral Bible Churches.>Over 52 Bridges for Neighbors training events were held around the globe with 1,891 participants.>Over 106 Bridges for Women training events were held around the world in 2016 with 3,124 women in attendance. This is nearly double from previous years.”
