Presented along with the City of Santa Fe Historic Preservation Division and the Old Santa Fe Association the Heritage Preservation Awards in May 2024 at San Miguel Chapel, 401 Old Santa Fe Trail. Produced an advertisement with local paper for the awards. 3. Presented the Architectural Stewardship Award in 2024 to the Amelia Hollenback House, 901 Camino San Acacio in recognition of the great care and effort, planning, design, and execution of the renovation and remodels of their house.4. Held monthly art exhibitions for El Zagun resident artists and invited outside artists. Exhibitions included a joint exhibition with Tamarind Institute, Julia Tait Dickenson, Jesse Littlebird, Galisteo Arts Association, Jesse Wood, Max Baptiste, Jesse Blanchard, Dominic Capello, Roland Ostheim. Selected University of New Mexico graduate student Ryuichi Nakayama as the 2025 Foundations Mac Watson Fellow. Under the mentorship of Dr. Audra Bellmore, University of New Mexico professor and curator of the John Gaw Meem archives, Nakayama began to research and write the nomination for the Plaza Balentine Compound.6. Approved and added the listing of the La Farge House to the HSFF register of properties.7. Continued with the online blog with articles from contributing, volunteer writers for dissemination of activities and news of the foundation, including book reviews of new publications of interest on the history, culture, architecture, archeology of the Santa Fe area and Southwest.8. Published two printed newsletters containing substantial articles, interviews, and preservation news.9. Held the annual meeting of Foundation members in the El Zagun garden in June with guests from the Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners and presentation by Melanie McWhorter on the state of the Foundation and by board directors Greg Walke on the status of the Endangered Properties Program.10. Faith and John Gaw Meem Preservation Trades intern Samantha Crowley, hands-on adobe work at El Zagun, 545 Canyon Road and at Rancho de Las Golondrinas, 334 Los Pinos Road. Projects included working at Las Golondrinas to infill a doorway and work on mud plastering. Additional projects involved replastering the front entrance wall and other areas of El Zagun. Intern learned how to prepare appropriate plaster mixes with the available materials of sand, clay, straw, lime and water and experimented with changes in substrate materials. The Intern was introduced to basic carpentry and tool safety and use. Intern helped to create scaled adobe wooden forms and small-scale adobe production. Other projects included water infiltration mitigation on the historic Randall Davey Art Studio at the Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary in Santa Fe.
