STARWOOD FESTIVAL - WE RAN OUR WINTERSTAR SYMPOSIUM FUNDRAISING EVENT FEBRUARY 11-14, 2021 VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM, PROVIDING CLASSES, CONCERTS, A COMMUNITY CHAT CHANNEL, AND AUDIO-VISUAL PERFORMANCES ONLINE, WITH ABOUT HALF OF THE 200+ ATTENDEES BEING VOLUNTEERS, WHO DONATED MONEY AS WELL AS TIME. OUR GOAL WAS TWO-FOLD: BRINGING OUR STARWOOD COMMUNITY ONLINE TO SOCIALIZE AND LEARN WITH LONG-TIME AND NEW FRIENDS MORE SAFELY DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC, AS WELL AS RAISING THE STARTING FUNDS TO PUT ON OUR YEARLY COMMUNITY-BUILDING CAMPING EVENT: THE STARWOOD FESTIVAL. WHILE STARWOOD FESTIVAL 2020 NEEDED TO BE VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM, WE PROVIDED A SMALLER, ADULT- ONLY, IN-PERSON HYBRID EVENT THIS YEAR JULY 13-19TH, ADHERING TO COVID PROTOCOLS DEVELOPED BY THE CAMPGROUND IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT (ETC.) AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGING FULL VACCINATION. HALF OF THE IN-PERSON ATTENDEES WERE VOLUNTEERS WHO CAME TO PROVIDE WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES AND LABOR TO KEEP THE INTENTIONAL-COMMUNITY GOING, WHILE MANY OF THESE WORKSHOPS WERE BROADCAST ON ZOOM FOR THOSE UNABLE TO ATTEND IN- PERSON.-$50,194

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Half of the in-person attendees were volunteers who came to provide workshops, performances and labor to keep the intentional-community going, while many of these workshops were broadcast on zoom for those unable to attend in- person.
