| In 2024, Gamechanger Nonprofit demonstrated remarkable productivity and a steadfast commitment to empowering the next generation of filmmakers. We successfully secured approximately $50,000 in contributions, which facilitated the continuation of our groundbreaking Producer Mentorship program. This initiative not only placed a talented mentee on the climate justice documentary *Save Yourself!* - contributing significantly to the project just before the wrap of primary shooting in late June - we are continuing post production and into DELIVERY where we are educating the mentee through these phases of production and post production, and in additin allowing us to continue to identify and recruit several more qualified candidates who possess the ambition and expertise necessary for future productions. Our dedication to fostering talent extended to five dedicated interns earlier in the year, four of whom earned college credit, and one through a valuable partnership with Venice Arts. This hands-on experience enriched their learning and expanded their professional networks. We have continued these relationships and brought on two more interns through our relationship with Venice Arts as well as Loyola Marymount University. In the face of industry-wide challenges, including strikes, GC Nonprofit remained committed to fiscal responsibility. We proactively paused operations and initiated a voluntary furlough to preserve our capital for impactful programming once conditions improve. With approximately $55,000 in cash reserves, we are well-positioned to resume our vital activities in 2025, including the Producer Mentorship and Operation Big Break programs, while also exploring new partnerships for upcoming film projects. Our strategic approach, developed in collaboration with our board members, reinforces our mission to provide essential professional development opportunities for film makers, especially those from historically marginalized communities. We launched cohorts of 10-15 early-career filmmakers to rotate through multiple departments during a fully accessible feature shoot. Participants will document their experiences, learn from department heads, and receive stipends, expenses, screen credits, and back-end participation. | - | $24,992 |
