| We organized Neighbors into 10 "Neighbor Teams" of mutual trust and support. Neighbors supported each other relationally through listening and offering emotional support for instance visiting each other in the hospital being there for a neighbor grieving a loved ones passing etc. through sharing resources e.g. identifying food pantries sending resources for pursuing citizenship etc. and through financial support. The primary way Neighbors supported each other financially is by pooling their funds each month through "susus". Members of Neighbor Teams contributed $100 each on average in order. GatherFor provided matching funds for each monthly pool per Neighbor Team. | $50,000 | $48,159 |
| Each of our 10 Neighbor Teams comprised of 5 members each build a bond of mutual support and trust. Building this bond requires spending time together regularly. GatherFor provides each Neighbor Team with $300 each month to organize monthly outings. Neighbor Teams use these funds to go out to dinner host movie nights for their kids while they connect in the background attend cultural events and trainings arrange for child care and transportation to gather in a public space etc. These funds prove invaluable since most of our participants lack secure or spacious enough housing to host each other cannot find sufficient public spaces in their neighborhood and face financial barriers in spending time outside of work finding a home or being at home that prevent gathering. | $18,554 | $25,560 |
| This year we initiated the idea of group leaders or "captains" within each Neighbor Team who took responsibility for organizing the group checking in regularly with each member and sharing struggles and best practices with other captains in monthly captains meetings. We provided captains with $100 month stipends across our 10 Neighbor Teams. | $0 | $7,740 |
| This year the members of our community organized a Resource Fair featuring community-based organizations offering services in housing entrepreneurship mental health and child care. They researched relevant organizations built partnerships with them and invited them to a shared space. We offered activities for kids rented port-o-potties offered free food invited local representatives and featured over 20 local community-based organizations to offer free services to the community. | $0 | $5,056 |
| We established an independent financial platform with help from partner Papertree to manage each groups gathering funds and susu pools. This platform allows all member of a member team to transparently see how much money is in their account and to make decisions democratically about how the funds are used. Each member of a Neighbor Team has to agree through a vote on any request of funds made from the group. | $0 | $3,000 |
