Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Educate and advocate to Congress and the federal agencies on behalf of the Additive Manufacturing Community. We are a trade association designed to increase the knowledge base of Congress and the Federal Agencies regarding additive manufacturing in order to improve the quality of public policy related to additive manufacturing.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Organized 10 virtual forums to educate Members of Congress, Congressional staff, federal agency personnel, national labs, universities and industry members to increase the understanding of various aspects of additive manufacturing and relevant federal policy issues. Each session had between 100-120 participants.--
Advocated to Congress and the federal agencies for increased funding for research, certification, validation and workforce development in support of additive manufacturing, as well as, for increased utilization of additive manufacturing products in the federal procurement system.--
Organized four Members only roundtable events with thought leaders in Government related to additive manufacturing, the national economy and the national defense. Roundtables resulted in increased awareness of the specific issues facing AM Coalition members as they attempt to expand their businesses and engage with the government.--
