“Corporate social responsibility has become a hot button issue spanning every industry, with major organizations making concerted efforts to avoid any negative impact their operations might have on the marketplace as a whole. The gambling industry is no different. Responsible gaming describes efforts taken by regulators and operators to ensure the integrity and fairness of their operations and to promote awareness of problems such as gambling addiction. From a problem gambler's perspective, conscious gaming is finding new and innovative ways to allow a regulator to assist a gambler from playing and allows that gambler to self-exclude, meaning opting into a list that uses geolocation technology to prevent placing bets in participating jurisdictions. Conscious gaming has launched a program called playpause which is described as an innovative tool to strengthen multi-state responsible programs. Specifically, playpause will: -expand the protective self-exclusion bubble so that as players move from state to state, the protection that they have asked for, can also follow them. -enable consumers to self-exclude across multiple states to prevent incidence of simply crossing a state line and continuing to gamble -empower operators to strengthen responsible gaming programs, and make more data driven decisions, with greater insights into players that have chosen to self-exclude in one state but need to be recognized and protected if/when they seek to play in another jurisdiction -streamline the administrative burden and eliminate the silos associated with maintaining numerous separate state-operated self-exclusion the organization intends to: -create a solution for the significant volume of users on state borders that could benefit from a multi-state exclusion offering -de-identify existing databases with the use of playpause -collaborate with leading academics, advocacy organizations and stakeholders dedicated to responsible gaming policy and the prevention of gambling to shape the direction of initatives and ensure industry-wide adoption -protect confidentiality of player data with securer encryption technology -assist child protection and human trafficking organizations to ensure they are utilizing best data sources and technologies to protect children and adults against exploitation -assist in the protection of women and children to ensure a safe environment is gained for them, career trajectories are enhanced”
“The organization does not report any forms w-2 for part v 2a on the form 990, but lists reportable salaries, as the organization utilizes a professional employer organization (peo), whereby the staff of conscious gaming, is issued w-2s by the peo.”
