DescriptionGrantsExpenses
The 2024 Latinx MBA Leadership Summit, the organizations flagship annual event, was held from November 710, 2024, at Nike Headquarters in Playa Vista, CA. This four-day gathering convened 146 participants from 41 MBA programs, including 55 current MBA students and over 70 alumni. The summit featured over 35 industry speakers, 6 targeted workshops, and 2 separate tracks for students and alumni. Its programming was designed to foster professional development, peer networking, and Latinx leadership in business.Workshops addressed topics such as branding, mental health, personal finance, and career transitions. Survey feedback reflected exceptionally high participant satisfaction, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 97 for the Student Summit and 81 for the Alumni Summit. More than 86% of alumni attendees reported forming valuable professional connections, and 76% of students expressed a desire to support future events or participate in mentorship. This program remains the cornerstone of Latinx MBA Associations mission to connect, advance, and advocate for Latinx professionals in business.-$16,414
The Latinx MBA Associations MBA Admissions Scholarship Program supports high-potential Latinx professionals seeking admission to top-tier MBA programs. In 2024, the program awarded scholarships totaling $16,000 to four recipients. Each received $8,000 in services from Ivy Fellows, a coaching initiative powered by Ivy Advisors, which provides strategic guidance, mentorship, and intellectual capital to navigate the competitive MBA admissions process. An additional $8,000 was awarded per student to cover standardized exam-related expenses. All four recipients of the 2024 cohort were successfully admitted to top-ranked MBA programs in the United States. This program advances the organizations mission by reducing barriers to access for future Latinx business leaders and promoting educational equity in graduate management education.-$16,000
Via Latinx's MBA Regional Networking & Career Development Series, throughout 2024, the Latinx MBA Association hosted 26 networking and professional development events across major U.S. cities, engaging 711 attendees, including current MBA students and alumni. These events provided members with opportunities to build community, gain exposure to career paths, and develop professional skills. Activities included informal fireside chats with trailblazing Latinx leaders in finance, tech, consulting, and entrepreneurship who shared personal insights and strategies for success.Many attendees used these events to explore internship and full-time career opportunities, expand their networks, and gain actionable advice on topics such as navigating corporate leadership, career transitions, and personal branding. The program supports the organizations mission of career advancement and community building among Latinx MBA talent by creating accessible, inspiring, and high-impact professional engagement opportunities.-$4,062
