Officer directors etc family relationship Part VI line 2

Ryan craig is a member of the board of directors. His mother in law, ursula parker, is the current general manager. We do not consider this an issue since mrs. Parker was hired prior to mr craig becoming a member of the board. In addition mr craig was selected by all members of the roosevelt county water cooperative during the general election which was not influenced by mrs parker.

The members vote during the annual meeting to elect the board of directors.

Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11

The board of directors reviews the form 990 before it is filed with the irs. Once the board of directors approves the form 990 a board member will sign the tax return prior to filing with the irs.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

The board of directors reviews all transactions for the organization on a monthly basis. If they determine that one of the transactions is not in compliance with the conflict of interest policy the manager has to provide an explanation.

The board of directors determines the compensation for all employees. For the first five years of employment the board of director approves a payscale that shows the raises based on performance. The board of directors uses job evaluations submitted by the general manager to determine the raises. After the first five years the employee is capped out and only receives cost of living increases based on job evaluations submitted by the general manager and approved by the board of directors.
