Associate memberships shall be approved by the board of directors and such members are not eligible to vote or hold office. Ten directors, two from each region, are elected at the regional meetings of members held at coaches clinics each year. Election of the regional directors are made by members of the association who coach in each respective region (nw, ne, sw, se, and central). Candidates are members of the association and employed as an athletic coach. Directors also consist of the president, president elect/vice president, and the immediate past president. Additionally, there is one director appointed by the president of the association, one director appointed by the president of the new mexico high school athletic directors association, and one direcotr appointed by the executive director of the new mexico activities association.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

The president of the association appoints one member of the association to the board of directors. --the president of new mexico high school athletic director's association appoints one member of the board to a one-year term. --the executive director of new mexico activities association appoints one member to the board of directors to a one-year term. --should a board member elected from a region require a replacement, he/she is replaced by appointment of the president of the association with a coach from that region.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 11B

The association's accountant and executive director review the form 990 in detail with the cpa who prepares the form. Upon the approval of the executive director, the form 990 is filed with the irs. The form is made available to the board at the association's headquarters.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A
