FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Story leaf is a california public benefit nonprofit organization created for public and charitable purposes. Specifically, story leaf's mission is to educate and bring awareness to social, medical and environmental issues worldwide through public service announcements (psa). Through the merging of education, research, social media, storytelling and entertainment, story leaf aims to support humanitarian, environmental, and public causes on a global and local scale by spreading education and awareness about the issue. Ultimately, the foundation hopes to be the bridge between global awareness and local action and support. Story leaf will pursue this mission by focusing on the following two categories: (1) selection of a worthy cause for each project, and (2) development and distribution of content.selection of a cause (40 percent of total time and 10 percent of the expenses allocated to this activity)story leaf will accept applications on a rolling basis from non-governmental organizations (ngo) located anywhere in the world, although story leaf will operate from california. The application will set forth a description of the applicant's mission or cause, internal structure, potential impact and method for implementation. Upon receipt of each application, story leaf's board of director's will review each potential project and make a selection based on the need and urgency of the issue, scale and projected project effectiveness. Story leaf anticipates approving up to three projects per year for development of a psa. Once a project is approved, story leaf will reach out to local and international ngo's combating the same issue to ensure that the project plan is efficient and could result in real impact and outcomes.each psa will be created in connection with the specific nonprofit which applied and was selected through the process set forth above. Story leaf will increase the exposure of the selected cause through its psas and will provide clear instructions to its audience on opportunities for local involvement.development and distribution of content (60 percent of total time and 90 percent of the total expenses allocated to this activity)production for these public service announcements will be done with the highest quality and artistry available in california. Story leaf will request separate bids for each potential project from independent contractors and third party vendors interested in developing the psa. The board of directors will select contractors and vendors based on the scope, size, budget and applicable cause. Story leaf anticipates developing educational content to be distributed through social media on a global scale. Together with a skilled team of filmmakers, storytellers and animators, story leaf can create outstanding educational announcements while capturing the attention of the audience. The board of directors have adopted a conflict of interest policy, which is attached to this application and sets forth the applicable process if a conflict arises in (1) the selection of a cause, or (2) the selection of an independent contractor or vendor who will prepare the psa.fundingstory leaf intends on fundraising from a variety of sources. The foundation will accept voluntary donations from both corporations and individuals. Story leaf may also receive donations from other local nonprofit corporations.
