“Mounted and celebrated the installation of our Slave History Medallions at three sites:Linden Place Museum, Bristol, RI - To mark the home of RIs most notorious slaving family and enslaved Africans who toiled there.DeWolf Tavern, Bristol, RI - To mark the economic gains brought to the community and state due to the enslavement of people of color.East Ferry Wharf, Jamestown, RI - To mark the contributions by enslaved Indigenous people of the Narragansett nation at plantation forms.Offered Education programs:Held public Medallion Programs with historians and multicultural artisits at public sites for more than 750 people that both teach and celebrate diversity.Held Youth Cultural Arts Program at Patriots Park, Portsmouth, RI for 100 youth and families Established Community Partnership:Created an ongoing association with Roger Williams University history department faculty, students and Community Partnership Center for research and projects related to the history of Bristol black community.”
