“The program service revenue generated by Thrive Community Building is derived from services rendered alongside the Tribal Child Care Association of California (TCCAC) and the Peoria Tribe. The TCCAC works with Tribal agencies that provide early childhood services to children. The services are provided in centers and homes on tribal land by families, friends and neighbors. The intent is to progress efforts that grow funding investment and quality services to Tribal children and families across the state of California. Thrive's work in partnership with TCCAC has been specifically in the area of organizational capacity building. We worked with them on the adaptation of their Health & Safety standards and their child care standards for sovereign nations documents. These documents set the expectations of child care providers on how to deliver services to children in their care. This work and our continued work with them is focused on developing structures and processes that leverage their success as they grow their leadership capacity and programming, in accordance with Thrive's tax-exempt function. The Thrive team's work with TCCAC continues to evolve with each contract but all is connected to organizational capacity building. The work has been focused on amending and updating external facing TCCAC association early childhood manuals and documents, developing new project frameworks and timelines and supporting the Board of Directors in capacity building (policies, procedures, strategic planning/goal setting and meetings). The intent is to improve their engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness within their association and leverage the quality of care provided to children within the California Tribal community.”
“The Thrive team supported the Peoria Tribe with the initial process of the development of a business and operations plan for their future early childhood program including marketing of services; tuition and revenue structures; enrollment guidelines; staffing; operating policies and procedures. Throughout the process, the Thrive team and consultants engaged tribal employees and elected officials to produce tools and procedures that ensure quality services and business sustainability. This work sits within our focus area of organizational capacity building.”

The TCCAC works with Tribal agencies that provide early childhood services to children. The services are provided in centers and homes on tribal land by families, friends and neighbors. The intent is to progress efforts that grow funding investment and quality services to Tribal children and families across the state of California. Thrive's work in partnership with TCCAC has been specifically in the area of organizational capacity building. We worked with them on the adaptation of their Health & Safety standards and their child care standards for sovereign nations documents. These documents set the expectations of child care providers on how to deliver services to children in their care. This work and our continued work with them is focused on developing structures and processes that leverage their success as they grow their leadership capacity and programming, in accordance with Thrive's tax-exempt function. The Thrive team's work with TCCAC continues to evolve with each contract but all is connected to organizational capacity building. The work has been focused on amending and updating external facing TCCAC association early childhood manuals and documents, developing new project frameworks and timelines and supporting the Board of Directors in capacity building (policies, procedures, strategic planning/goal setting and meetings). The intent is to improve their engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness within their association and leverage the quality of care provided to children within the California Tribal community. |
