“Lead ohio foundation is organized for the purpose of conducting educational and charitable activities related to the education and training of progressive leaders in the state of ohio. The foundation funds educational activities and programs that further its purposes.”

“The foundation now conducts it's own training programs designed for community leaders, leaders of nonprofit organizations, issue campaigns, and individuals interested in seeking public office. The focal point is the lead ohio leadership academy, which offers nearly 50 hours of intensive training. In addition to the leadership academy, lead ohio foundation supports numerous one day training programs, webinars and information sessions either in person or by video format, women leading ohio day trainings where we intend to once again partner with the women's fund of central ohio to conduct trainings uniquely for women, strategic outreach to and recruitment of underrepresented groups including women, bipoc, millennials/gen zs, members of the lgbtq+ community, rural residents, and young adults. Much of the training we provided in 2020 was necessarily done via video format. Going forward, at least in the near term, our training is likely to be a mix of in person and video format. Our work going forward will include 2 new programs: 1) the buckeye justice forum designed to create a more reflective judiciary will be a program to mentor, educate and train those interested in judicial reform. 2) the governance academy will provide guidance to newly elected officials about ethics, roles, responsibilities, best practices and professional conduct of newly elected officials. The focus of the governance academy will be the graduates of the aforementioned training programs.”
