“The return is prepared by an independent accounting firm and then it is provided to the organization's president for her review. After the internal management review is performed and the president has approved the return, the return is provided to the board of directors for their review. Board members are provided three days to provide comments or make inquiries regarding the return. At the end of the three days, the return is prepared for filing with the irs.”
“The conflict of interest policy covers any director, principal officer, or member of a committee with governing board delegated powers, who has a direct or indirect financial interest. The existence of such interest must be disclosed in addition to all material facts to the directors and members of committees with governing board delegated powers considering the proposed transaction or arrangement. After disclosure is made, the person with the conflict will leave the meeting and allow the independent persons to consider the financial arrangement. Failure to disclose may result in disciplinary and corrective action. The evaluation and ultimate decision related to the financial transaction under consideration will be documented in the minutes of the governing body or the committee considering the transaction.”
“The organization utilizes outside comparable data for determining compensation for the president of the organization. The compensation package is presented to the board of directors and is approved by those members of the board who are independent to the president.”
“The organization utilizes outside comparable data for determining compensation for any officer serving the organization for compensation. The compensation package is presented to the board of directors and is approved by those members of the board who are independent to the officer. Except for the president, any other person compensated by the organization cannot serve as an officer or a director. Those indicated on part vii of form 990 served in such positions prior to accepting positions with the organization for which they are now compensated.”

“In 2023, christians engaged, a civic engagement discipleship ministry, served 50 churches through in-person programs or our strategic ministry partnership agreements without any cost to the local church. Historically, we now have served 148 churches or ministries in some capacity. The ministry did 6-8 on-ramp to civic engagement full day seminars and 15 other services discipling on prayer, voting, and engagement this year. We also held our third national conference with 425 registrations featuring nationally recognized speakers and started an inaugural washington dc trip with three focused days on pray, vote, and engage with over 50 people attending in our nation's capitol. Having built the only 501(c)3 "get out the vote" voter mobilization communication system for christians across all 50 states in 2022, this "take the pledge" system not only motivates christians to register to vote but encourages them to vote in every election - local, primaries, and general election from a biblical perspective. Leading up to each election, those enrolled will receive four texts and four email reminders to vote and are equipped with research materials including our 5 step guide for that election and our platform comparison document from a non-partisan christian perspective. This system is unique in that it is built within a fully secure church software system and the data will never be sold, rented, or shared with any other entity. Doubling in 2023 from 76,000 to 200,000 - these christians received our weekly communications on prayer, voting, and engagement and voting reminders leading up to their local elections and special elections in 2023 and prepared them for the turbulent primaries and general election to come in 2024. 91.7% of the christians who made this commitment in texas (that we could match to voter data) voted in the midterm elections. The ministry now has people in all 50 states who have taken the pledge to pray, vote, and engage and we are growing around the nation through strategic ministry partnerships with national ministries and local churches, public relations on christian tv, radio, and podcasts, and mass marketing to christians online. On the resource side - christians engaged continued to give away small books to christians who took our pledge to pray, vote, and engage in churches and through volunteers - giving approximately 4,000 books away. Online activities included releasing three new full on-demand video curriculum packages: nehemiah: how to rebuild the walls of a nation, biblical justice: answers for difficult days, and biblical economics: answers for difficult days bringing our grand total for full 6-8 hour video courses to 6. We also started working on 2 more for 2024 - biblical worldview and biblical conduct. In addition, the organization published another 100 online articles (making the number for 4 years 450), produced 52 podcast episodes, a weekly show on audio and video, with educational conversations with elected officials, ministry leaders, and subject leader experts, that were distributed by edifi app and the stream as well. By the end of 2023, in just four short years, christians engaged has done 549 speaking engagements, media appearances, or online events by our team. By the end of 2023, over 2,000 people had gone through one of our full curriculum courses online or in person at a church and we had 1,179,089 website and content interactions - either streaming our videos, downloading our podcasts or resources over the course of this year. In four short years - the foundation of this ministry has been set for major national expansion to impact our nation in 2024 and beyond. We believe the church is the answer for america and we are commited to awakening the church and empowering her.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | IN 2023, CHRISTIANS ENGAGED, A CIVIC ENGAGEMENT DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY, SERVED 50 CHURCHES THROUGH IN-PERSON PROGRAMS OR OUR STRATEGIC MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENTS WITHOUT ANY COST TO THE LOCAL CHURCH. WE BELIEVE THE CHURCH IS THE ANSWER FOR AMERICA AND WE ARE COMMITED TO AWAKENING THE CHURCH AND EMPOWERING HER. |
