Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is a nonprofit organization determined on september 6, 2019 to be exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (irc). Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is recorded in the financial statements. Second harvest follows the provisions of the accounting standards codification relating to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. This prescribes a minimum recognition threshold and measurement methodology that a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return is required to meet before being recognized in financial statements. The organization has not identified any material uncertain tax positions requiring an accrual or disclosure in the financial statements.
