“The supernova digital animation festival is an annual exhibition of digital motion art and animation supporting online and in-person opportunities for artists to show their work. It is free and accessible to the public. In 2021 we featured 296 artists, 120 high school students, 5000 online views and approximately 196,000 public viewers. Crash courses in digital animation are educational courses for the public to learn digital tech skills taught by university level educators at a vastly reduced cost, supporting underserved communities with scholarship funding. In 2021, we worked with 60 students. Our monthly artist feature focuses on critical discourse in new media arts. This pairs emerging writers with digital artists. During 2021 we worked with 6 writers.”
