The organization regrets failing to file electronically and submits that it had reasonable cause for this failure. The organization conducted program service operations in 2020 but was largely inactive and operated on a volunteer basis in 2021. Additionally, the organization experienced disruptions in leadership and communications resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic in the fall of 2021. The organization had previously filed only the 990-N return and all previous filings have been complete and timely. The organization has familiarized itself with the electronic filing requirements and will take steps to ensure that all future returns are timely filed electronically and otherwise conform to the filing requirements. The organization respectfully requests an abatement of any penalty.
