Mission

The specific purpose of the organization is to conduct mission trips to impoverished areas for one week each year. The organization will put out home owner applications to local charities and churches that serve an impoverished area. These applications are intended for homeowners in need of major household repairs where the applicant can not afford those repairs and are not physically able to do so. FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

The specific purpose of the organization is to conduct mission trips to impoverished areas for one week each year. The organization will put out home owner applications to local charities and churches that serve an impoverished area. These applications are intended for homeowners in need of major household repairs where the applicant can not afford those repairs and are not physically able to do so. Trips are taken a few months before the intended mission to verify the validity of the applications. Based on the number of trip attendees, the organization will select suited applications for the work. Prior to the mission, trip meetings for volunteer attendees are called to help prepare for the mission week. The organization supplys all material to perform the repairs and maintenance to the property. In addition, the organization provides food and lodging to the volunteers. During the mission week, attendees will be assigned a construction group and scope of work to be completed. In the evening, activities and spiritual events will be held to build faith in the attendees and build relationships with the homeowners in need. Experienced construction leaders are essential to ensure that a home is properly completed. High school students are encouraged to participate to help understand the importance of serving in the community. Hands on construction techniques will be taught. This is necessary to help for a future occupation in home repairs. Young adults and older adults will service as spiritual leaders, construction helpers and food distributors for all of the participants. There will also be a pastor who will conduct spiritual activities, prayer for the homeowners and convey basic god theology as well. The organization has one business meeting per month. In addition, there are four trip meetings for all of the participants in preparation for the mission trip. The volunteers prepare applications, complete paperwork, schedule activities, order materials and other necessary items etc.

Volunteers are necessary to provide construction expertice and labor as well as support for the entire mission project. There is a flat 300 charge for each participant which helps defer the costs of food, lodging and materials. If costs exceed contributions, the participants and the members personally donate to cover the entire cost of the mission.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE TO HELP UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF SERVING IN THE COMMUNITY. HANDS ON CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES WILL BE TAUGHT. THIS IS NECESSARY TO HELP FOR A FUTURE OCCUPATION IN HOME REPAIRS. YOUNG ADULTS AND OLDER ADULTS WILL SERVICE AS SPIRITUAL LEADERS, CONSTRUCTION HELPERS AND FOOD DISTRIBUTORS FOR ALL OF THE PARTICIPANTS. THERE WILL ALSO BE A PASTOR WHO WILL CONDUCT SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES, PRAYER FOR THE HOMEOWNERS AND CONVEY BASIC GOD THEOLOGY AS WELL. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ONE BUSINESS MEETING PER MONTH. IN ADDITION, THERE ARE FOUR TRIP MEETINGS FOR ALL OF THE PARTICIPANTS IN PREPARATION FOR THE MISSION TRIP. THE VOLUNTEERS PREPARE APPLICATIONS, COMPLETE PAPERWORK, SCHEDULE ACTIVITIES, ORDER MATERIALS AND OTHER NECESSARY ITEMS ETC.
