“The organization has member institutions. Each member institution has a member representative. Member institutions can either be full members or associate members. In order to qualify for full membership an institution must be an educational or nonprofit institution (or a department or other division of such an institution), chartered in the united states and its territories and have a continued commitment to scholarly research involving the application of high precision geodetic and strain techniques to earth science or other related fields of study. Institutions that are engaged in scholarly research involving the application of high precision geodetic and strain to earth science or other related fields of study that otherwise do not quality for full membership can become associate members. In order to become a member, institutions must apply for membership with the board of directors. Each member institution has a member representative. See the response to line 7a.”
