The agency makes the 990 available to all board members in an electronic format prior to its filing, and encourages questions for any items of concern or requiring additional information. The approval of the board chair and board treasurer, at a minimum, is required before final filing of the form.”

This information, along with the agency's salary history, forms the basis for compensation arrangements and updates. The board of directors conducts an annual evaluation and approves the compensation package for the executive director.”

“Rmian in-kind support rmian relies on volunteers to exponentially increase its impact on access to justice for immigrants in colorado. Rmian's programs utilize volunteer translators and interpreters, law student interns, mental health and physical health care professionals, and attorneys. Rmian's volunteer attorneys give an incredible amount of their time, energy, and expertise to rmian's clients. In 2024, volunteer attorneys provided pro bono representation for rmian- referred cases in both the detention program and the childrens program. In total, these attorneys gave approximately 13,610 volunteer hours, which combined were worth an estimated 4,083,000 of in-kind support. Calculation: on average, each pro bono attorney worked approximately 50 hours on cases in the detention program (107 cases referred) and the children's program (80 cases referred). In addition to these referrals, rmian also referred cases to volunteer attorneys to help detained asylum seekers prepare for their credible fear interviews, which took an average of 10 hours per case (125 cases referred under this program). Attorney rates are estimated at 300/hour.”
