“In 2021, again due to the covid pandemic, the mba roundtable annual curricular innovation symposium was delivered as a virtual event and was hosted/sponsored by the terry college of business, university of georgia on october 28-29, 2021. The mba roundtable symposium's theme, designing the future gme curriculum: delivering an innovative and adaptable curriculum aligned with student and industry needs, attracted approximately 150 participants consisting of member and non-member schools along with our affiliate sponsors. The newest initiative for the mba roundtable in 2021 was the introduction of a new type of event called a forum. These have been established to convene the industry around important topics impacting the future of graduate management curriculum. On april 7, 8 and 15th, the mba roundtable presented the virtual forum on the growing role of credentials, badges and certificates in graduate management education. The event was highly successful with over 170 registrants.”

“The mba roundtable served in an advisory capacity and delivered content for three breakout sessions for the annual leadership conference in partnership with the graduate management admission council (gmac) in january 2021. The 2021 gmac leadership conference was also delivered virtually. This is an ongoing partnership. To expand its reach the mba roundtable maintains partnerships with gmac, executive mba council, forte, part-time mba affiliate group, the association to advance collegiate schools of business, leaders of experiential project-based education, and the european foundation for management development. The mba roundtable delivered one successful virtual workshop in 2021. Directly before the 2021 mba roundtable annual curricular innovation symposium, the mba roundtable introduced a new workshop titled auditing your curriculum for diversity, equity & inclusion agenda on october 28th. The workshop had 70 registered attendees.”

“The mba roundtable delivered three webinars in 2021 with over 300 attendees. In partnership with member schools and affiliate sponsors, topics included state of the student - now and in a post covid world, fast track curriculum innovation award winners webinar and developments driving graduate business education curriculum change during 2020. Webinars provide the mba roundtable with opportunities to expand our reach and awareness, as well as provide year-round educational benefits for our membership. Research surveys were also completed in conjunction with our webinars and symposium, to provide our members with increased insight into graduate management curriculum issues. Topics that were covered in our 2021 research included dei in gme curriculum, the teaching of strategy implementation in business schools, alternative credentials in graduation management education, and a flash survey on the process of lecture capture in mba programs. In addition, we expanded our bi-annual gme curriculum benchmarking survey and had record results. Not only was our research positively received by our membership but received an increased amount of media coverage. Finally, 2021 was the year of our innovator award which is our bi-annual recognition of innovation in graduate management curriculum innovation. 2021 winners were johns hopkins university and the university of delaware.”
