Mission
Inspired by the gift of donation from our communities, allosource responsibly provides innovative cellular and tissue allografts to advance patient healing.
Major Activities
- Activity 2
- Charitable contribution activity: allosource supports its member 501(c)(3) organizations by making grants to such organizations to promote donation awareness and education in their respective communities. In addition, allosource makes grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations to support, among other related charitable initiatives, increased donor awareness. In 2012, allosource made grants to 501(c)(3) organizations in excess of fourteen million dollars.
- Activity 3
- Research, education and training: allosource actively engages in activities that support our mission of maximizing the gift of donated human tissue. In 2012, we continued our research pursuits in the areas of cellular allograft innovation, economical alternatives to traditional wound care therapies, and others. Allosource worked with the 501(c)(3) organizations that recover tissue on our behalf in an effort to reduce donor contamination by collaborating on recovery techniques, donor preparation and equipment sterilization, and other areas. We also provide education and training to physicians and nurses to ensure that the allograft tissues we provide meet the medical needs of their patients.
