Mercy's gate serves anyone living in el paso county who's facing a financial or life crisis. We offer short-term relief in an effort to stabilize their circumstances. Our services are practical housing assistance, utilites assistance, food, etc. A neigbor meets one-on-one with a volunteer advocate, who can give them a full range of services. This assistance often opens a door to share the gospel of jesus and gives neighbors a hope and vision for a restored future.

To love our neighbors in el paso county by helping with their emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual needs. Food, rent, utilities, medical, legal, clothing, and other forms of emergency assistance are provided to the needy in el paso county.

For people in crisis, we offer relief, the hope of the gospel, and a vision for restoration.

Mercy's gate has a written conflict of interest policy that each board member is required to read and sign. Annually, the board offers an opportunity during a regular board meeting for board members to review, discuss, sign, and turn in the conflict of interest document.

The compensation for the executive director includes review and approval by the independent board of directors, comparability data, and contemporaneous substantiation of the deliberation and decision in board meeting minutes. The governing board also approves the annual budget, which includes estimated compensation for other employees.
