Catholic Charities acts as a common paymaster for the project, thus Archdiocesan Housing, Inc. does not submit any W-2 forms; however, the number of W-2's submitted on behalf of Archdiocesan Housing, Inc. is included on Form 990, Part V, Line 2a. For functional expense purposes, these amounts are listed as reimbursed shared salaries.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

AHI is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualifies for the charitable contribution deduction. Since the subsidiaries are for-profit corporations, AHC-Holy Cross Corporation and AHC-Sierra Madre Corporation are subject to federal and state income taxes at the applicable corporate rates. AHI Development, LLC, AHI Trust, LLC and AHI Development Silverthorne, LLC as a sole member LLCs, report their income on the AHI Form 990. AHI follows the Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes accounting standard which requires the organization to determine whether a tax position (and the related tax benefit) is more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the applicable taxing authority, based solely on the technical merits of the position. AHI believes they have appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, do not have any uncertain tax positions that are significant to the financial statements. AHI's Returns of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (Form 990) for the pervious three years are subject to examination by the IRS, generally for three years after initial filing.

AHI follows the Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes accounting standard which requires the organization to determine whether a tax position (and the related tax benefit) is more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the applicable taxing authority, based solely on the technical merits of the position. AHI believes they have appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, do not have any uncertain tax positions that are significant to the financial statements. AHI's Returns of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (Form 990) for the pervious three years are subject to examination by the IRS, generally for three years after initial filing.
