“DAV Auxiliary follows the following procedures with its Conflict of Interest Policy: All members of the National Executive Committee receive a copy of the Conflict of Interest Policy immediately upon assuming office, or at a minimum, annually. The same process applies to key employees and department directors. Recipients acknowledge that they have read the Policy, identify any areas and conflict and return the signed disclosure form to the DAV Auxiliary Executive Director. Responses are reviewed and conflicts are identified. Conflicts are referred to the National Executive Committee for discussion and approval as appropriate.”

“The National Finance Committee of the Auxiliary determines the salary and bonus of the Executive Director/National Adjutant. A certain dollar amount is left in the budget by the National Finance Committee for raises to the DAV Auxiliary staff. The raises of the DAV Auxiliary staff are determined by the Executive Director/National Adjutant, in compliance with the procedure stated in the DAV Auxiliary bylaws. DAV Auxiliary follows the ranges and guidelines for staff provided by DAV.”

“Documents are available upon request as required by public disclosure rules. The DAV Auxiliary annual financial statements are provided to delegates at the National Convention and are also available upon request for public inspection at the DAV National Headquarters.”

“A change in the bylaws of DAV in August, 2015 allowed the DAVA to undergo a review of the financial statements rather than an audit.”
