Form 990 was reviwed and approved by the members of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors at a Special Meeting called for this purpose prior to it being submitted to the IRS. The Special Meeting was via conference call with an electronic copy of this Form 990 provided prior to the meeting.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

In accordance with SWCBDs Conflict of Interest Policy, each director, principal officer, and member of a committee with Board delegated powers annually signs a statement affirming that they:(a) have received a copy of the Conflicts of Interest Policy; (b) have read and understand the policy;(c) agree to comply with the policy; and(d) understand that SWCBD is a charitable organization and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities which accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes. The form also provides a section for each person to disclose potential or actual conflicts of interest.

IRS990/Desc0Clean, Safe, and Beautiful (7/1/19-6/30/20): SOMA West CBD launched its Clean, Safe , and Beautiful program in March of 2020. During COVID-19 health emergency, SOMA West CBD followed the recommendations set forth by City, State and Federal agencies. Soma West CBD hired contractors to pressure wash 107 blocks of the district and conducted driving and foot patrols to identify critical issues such as grabage and litter removal, graffiti abatement and other cleaning needs. In total, Soma West CBD removed 109,325 lbs of trash during this fiscal year. In addition, Soma West CBD disinfected public fixtures and surfaces such as bus stops, crosswalk signals, to do our part in reducing the spread of COVID-19.
