Pinnacles prep aspires to be a community learning center that builds resilience, hope, academic achievement, and social and emotional skills so students can thrive in a complex changing world. Embracing equity and inclusion, pinnacles prep will offer a personalized learning environment with highly qualified faculty and contemporary curriculum that prepares all students for college, career and life in their community.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Pinnacles prep charter school curricular framework will promote personalized, project and place-based learning that cultivates curious, confident, and self-directed students. Furthermore, our inclusive campus environment paired with individualized mentoring from faculty and community partners will attend to the social-emotional learning needs of students via intentional opportunities that foster empathy, resilience, moral reasoning, and social responsibility. The small school (60 to 80 students per grade level) plans to open its doors in the fall of 2021 to serve grades 6 and 7, and then add an additional grade level each year through 12th grade until fully enrolled. The founders and board envision creating a wenatchee charter school that celebrates teaching and learning and produces curious, creative, and critical thinking students. Addressing the persistent achievement gap in the area, a cornerstone of our charter school will be equity and a commitment to ensure all students have an opportunity to benefit from relevant and rigorous coursework and 100% of students are prepared to thrive in post-secondary settings. The proposed charter school will be a middle and high school. Located within the boundaries of the wenatchee school district, which has significant latino (50%) and title i (54%) populations, the charter will serve students and families in neighborhoods that have been chronically underserved.
