Perfect Inc. empowers formerly incarcerated women to achieve success while they transition back to their community by providing training and paid internships that result in guaranteed employment with fair pay and benefits.

| The Perfect Inc. Employment Training and Internship Program operates in three phases: 1) Training: Perfect Inc. offers women a four-week training course geared toward customer service, digital marketing/social media management, and administrative support industries. Women will also gain essential soft skills related to time management, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. 2) Internship: Each participant interns at a local nonprofit organization or small business while receiving a stipend from Perfect Inc. 3) Job Placement: If participants are not hired by the organization with which they interned, they can choose to work for a Perfect Inc. employment partner. Throughout the 12-week program, participants receive the full support of their Perfect Inc. team, including trauma support designed to help participants identify and develop healthy responses to traumatic triggers, financial literacy instruction, and physical and nutritional health education. In 2021 we expanded our capacity by growing our network of internship and employment partners and connecting with other organizations in the area that make up the reentry support services of DC and Northern Virginia. We partnered with four small black women-owned businesses who work with participants during the 8-week internship phase of our program to help refine the skills they learn in training. We connected with three employment partners, including all Starbucks of Northern Virginia and Nordstroms in DC and Maryland. These organizations provide guaranteed employment to participants who are not hired on by the organizations they intern for. In August of 2021, Perfect Inc. completed our first full uninterrupted session with four participants, 75% of which completed training, an 8-week internship, and started working new jobs making over $15/hour with benefits. | $9,000 | $5,191 |
