“Families against narcotics (fan) is a community based program for those seeking recovery, those in recovery, family members affected by addiction and community supporters. Fan seeks to change the face of addiction, dispel the stigma of addiction, and educate the community as well as those affected by addiction. Our mission is to save lives by empowering individuals and communities to prevent and eradicate addiction, raise awareness to the dangers of prescription narcotics, support those affected by narcotic addiction, and erase the stigma of addiction.”

“We can be heroes event - we hosted two events with a curated art show, featuring local artists in recovery, followed by a screening of we can be heroes," documentary film directed by mike ramsdell. There was a post-film panel discussion featuring people who have experienced the stigma of substance use disorders. 40 local artists in recovery received a stipend to display their art.”

“Sober living scholarships - if you are a person in recovery that has left a rehabilitation program and do not have a source of immediate income, there are options to help cover some of the costs associated to moving into a sober living facility through our scholarship funding program. Approximately 46 people received sober living scholarships in 2022.”

“Yoga for recovery - studies show that yoga, mindfulness, and accupressure can help decrease stress, cravings, and impulsivity, and may be a good complement to traditional therapy. Approximately 250 people used this program in 2022.”
