“Article i. Purposes of the corporation as set forth in the articles of incorporation, on the right path, hereinafter on the right path" has been formed for the following purposes: to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, including but not limited to enriching the lives of the underprivileged, most vulnerable, underserved or homeless citizens who need an opportunity to thrive. Specifically, on the right path, will provide charity basketball and life skills clinics that will empower youth to use basketball as a vehicle towards good health and positive lifestyle choices; offer workshops educating parents on the process of youth achieving success in competitive athletic and academic environments; offer coaching clinics to adequately train coaches with knowledge to be competent in their profession. To accomplish these purposes, the board shall have the authority to exercise all the powers conferred upon corporations formed under the texas state law in order to achieve its charitable and educational goals, including but not limited to the authority to accept donations of money or property, whether real or personal, or any interest therein, wherever situated; provided that only such powers be exercised as are permitted to be used by a nonprofit corporation which qualifies as a corporation described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code as amended; nor shall it engage directly or indirectly in any activity which would cause the loss of such qualification.”
