IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2BLIXT LOCALLY GROWN, GROWS GOODNESS WITH THE ARTS. WE SPECIALIZE IN COMMUNITY BUILDING, EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT, AND THE STIMULATION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE INTEGRATION OF LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURE INTO ALL FACETS OF LIFE. WE COLLABORATE WITH COMMUNITIES TO LIFT UP HOMETOWN ASSETS, AND CHAMPION CREATIVES AS VITAL CONTRIBUTORS AND LEADERS IN VIBRANT RURAL SPACES. IN OUR WORK, WE EXPLORE IMPORTANT ISSUES IN SOCIETY THAT MAY NOT BE EASY TO DISCUSS. WE USE THE ARTS AS A CONDUIT FOR HAVING CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THESE ISSUES, AND WE STRIVE TO INCLUDE THE VOICES THAT ARE OFTEN UNHEARD, INCLUDING YOUNG PEOPLE, SENIOR CITIZENS, RURAL POPULATIONS, AND THOSE EXPERIENCING POVERTY, GRIEF, OR ISOLATION. WE COLLABORATE AND CO-PRODUCE WITH EXPERTS TO ENSURE THAT OUR ARTISTIC WORKS ARE ACCURATE, AUTHENTIC, INCLUSIVE, AND THAT FURTHER RESOURCES ARE PROVIDED TO PARTICIPANTS. ISSUES INCLUDE: COVID-19, POVERTY (INCLUDING HUNGER AND LACK OF WARMTH), DEATH AND GRIEF, RETURNING TO ONE'S HOME, SENSE OF PLACE, INTERGENERATIONAL COMMUNICATION, INCLUSION AND BELONGING, AND PEOPLE ATTRACTION.
