Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part XII

Curran-seeley foundation was started in february 1988 by the late pete curran and his partner mike seeley. Pete was the director and staff clinician. Mike seeley contributed 10,000 in funding to get the operation off the ground. Ed wigg was employed part time as a group facilitator and helped implement the intensive outpatient programs. As time went on and the need grew, additional staff was hired, and additional funding was awarded to curran-seeley foundation by the town of jackson, teton county and the state of wyoming. Old bill's fun run also became a significant source of funding, as well as a number of private donors. The foundation continued to flourish and grow under the above arrangement until 1999. In november of that year, pete curran retired and ed wigg was selected to succeed pete as director. Ed wigg retired in february 2015 and was replaced by long-time clinician/supervisor trudy birkemeyer funk.

PETE WAS THE DIRECTOR AND STAFF CLINICIAN. MIKE SEELEY CONTRIBUTED 10,000 IN FUNDING TO GET THE OPERATION OFF THE GROUND. ED WIGG WAS EMPLOYED PART TIME AS A GROUP FACILITATOR AND HELPED IMPLEMENT THE INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMS. AS TIME WENT ON AND THE NEED GREW, ADDITIONAL STAFF WAS HIRED, AND ADDITIONAL FUNDING WAS AWARDED TO CURRAN-SEELEY FOUNDATION BY THE TOWN OF JACKSON, TETON COUNTY AND THE STATE OF WYOMING. OLD BILL'S FUN RUN ALSO BECAME A SIGNIFICANT SOURCE OF FUNDING, AS WELL AS A NUMBER OF PRIVATE DONORS. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO FLOURISH AND GROW UNDER THE ABOVE ARRANGEMENT UNTIL 1999. IN NOVEMBER OF THAT YEAR, PETE CURRAN RETIRED AND ED WIGG WAS SELECTED TO SUCCEED PETE AS DIRECTOR. ED WIGG RETIRED IN FEBRUARY 2015 AND WAS REPLACED BY LONG-TIME CLINICIAN/SUPERVISOR TRUDY BIRKEMEYER FUNK.
