“Currently, there are no memberships at the baa. Membership has been replaced with a point system which gives priority to individuals purchasing athletic tickets. However, per the by-laws, any individual or business entity shall be eligible for membership in the various classes of membership established by the board of directors. Each member shall be entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to the vote of the members.”

“Any board member or baa member can nominate individuals to serve on the board. A nominating committee reviews nominations and determines board needs. The individuals recommended by the nominating committee are then brought to the full board for approval. In addition to the nominated members, the by-laws of the baa stipulate that the director of the boise state university alumni affairs and the athletic director shall be voting members of the baa board of directors.”

“The organization does not have any committees with authority to act on behalf of the governing body.”

“The form 990 is reviewed by the accounting manager and associate athletic director prior to filing. The board of directors is provided a copy of the form 990 via email prior to filing.”

“The organization regularly and consistently monitors and enforces compliance with the conflict of interest policy. A conflict of interest letter and disclosure form is sent to each board member to identify any conflicts of interest. These forms are kept on file in the organization's office. Conflicts of interest are reviewed by the board of directors, in cases where conflicts exist interested partners are recused from the decision.”
