Mission

CRCJ seeks to build a worker-oriented environmental movement committed to securing a fair and just transition that protects not only the environment but also the livelihoods of workers and their communities.

Drawing from our labor, environmental, inter faith religious communities and social justice advovates, we seek to build alliances among diverse constituencies to combat climate change, create jobs and promote racial, economic and environmental justice.

“Our organizational effectiveness has historically been measured by the results ofour mobilizing and advocacy efforts. The CRCJ was the lead organizer of over 30groups to campaign for an offshore wind procurement in Connecticut. This campaign included outreach to elected officials, creation and distribution of campaign materials, information sessions, action alerts and testimony templates. We also measure Affiliate Membership retention, attendance at Affiliate Membership gatherings and Climate Jobs convening sessions, and Transit Equity Day engagement.”

The CRCJ was the lead organizer of over 30groups to campaign for an offshore wind procurement in Connecticut. This campaign included outreach to elected officials, creation and distribution of campaign materials, information sessions, action alerts and testimony templates. We also measure Affiliate Membership retention, attendance at Affiliate Membership gatherings and Climate Jobs convening sessions, and Transit Equity Day engagement.
