Outreach also includes our Neighborhood Ambassador Program, where staff support volunteer ambassadors (through trainings, HOA presentations, and community protection plans) who act as sparkplugs for their communities wildfire efforts, motivating their neighbors to learn to live with wildfire and create fire adapted communities. There are 135 volunteer ambassadors who represent 95 communities that have high risk of wildfire throughout the 5 counties in SW Colorado.
