All officer positions are evaluated against a compensation scoring system that ensures the salary range for the position is set relative to the position's internal and external responsibilities. Ceo and officer positions are also benchmarked against industry standards annually using the same comparator group as the other positions. The review is performed by an external consultant who provides recommendations to the organization & compensation committee of the nei executive committee.
