DescriptionGrantsExpenses
In 2024 Community Hope Alliance received Opioid Settlement funds which are funneled through Randolph County in the amount of $62508. These funds were strictly for Overdose Prevention. This helped us make a significant impact in overdose prevention by directly serving over 365 individuals. However the reach of our efforts extends far beyond this number as many of these individuals act as secondary distributors providing support to others in need. Throughout the year we were able to distribute an impressive 4180 Naloxone kits equating to 8360 doses of this life-saving medication. Specific education and training was provided. As a result of these distributions we received reports of 1728 successful overdose reversals where our Naloxone was administered recognizing that many more instances may have occurred but were not formally reported to us. In addition to Naloxone distribution we also provide drug testing kits to our participants. Around 3000 fentanyl and Xylazine test strips were distributed empowering them to make informed decisions about substance use by checking the safety of drugs prior to consumption. This comprehensive approach has played a pivotal role in the reduction of overdose deaths within Randolph County showcasing the tangible impact of our services on the community. By offering resources such as Naloxone and drug testing kits Community Hope Alliance is not only saving lives but also fostering a culture of harm reduction and empowerment among individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The reported 1728 successful overdose reversals stand as a testament to the effectiveness of our programs in combatting the opioid crisis and providing critical support when it matters most. Through our continued efforts we aim to expand our reach and enhance our services to further address the complex needs of individuals impacted by addiction.$62,508$51,999
In 2024 Community Hope Alliance received grant funds from The Asheboro ABC Commission totaling $38,435 for the Syringe Service Program. Community Hope Alliances Syringe Service Program is a pivotal initiative dedicated to harm reduction. In 2024 our organization demonstrated a significant impact by distributing close to 300,000 new needles a crucial step in preventing infections and fatalities among vulnerable populations. Beyond needle distribution our program equips individuals with essential supplies such as sharps containers ensuring safe disposal practices are readily available. Our commitment extends further by providing comprehensive training sessions that empower individuals to prioritize their well-being and make informed decisions regarding their health. Moreover Community Hope Alliance goes beyond the provision of supplies offering a diverse range of services tailored to address the specific needs of the community. Acting as a crucial link to necessary care our program operates without judgment fostering a supportive environment for individuals seeking assistance. In addition to distributing essential supplies we offer wound care products safer sex supplies and educational resources focused on promoting responsible usage practices. In 2024 our program directly supported 365 individuals and our impact reached even more individuals through secondary distribution channels amplifying our reach and influence in promoting harm reduction practices. The services provided by Community Hope Alliance extend beyond mere distribution as we actively engage with individuals in Randolph County and surrounding areas ensuring that vital resources are accessible to those in need. By bridging gaps in access to crucial supplies and services our organization plays a pivotal role in promoting the health safety and dignity of all community members. Our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment underscores our dedication to promoting positive health outcomes and fostering a sense of empowerment among individuals seeking assistance.$38,435$36,173
In November 2024 Community Hope Alliance was awarded a $6250 grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. The grant was intended for the purchase of five newspaper-style Naloxone boxes to be strategically located throughout Randolph County targeting areas with the highest rates of overdose deaths. However as of the end of 2024 the allocated funds had not been utilized.$6,250$0

ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt0The process of resolving the issues with the 2023 financial audit and 990 filing has been challenging due to the discovery that the firm engaged in tax fraud. Consequently the previous audit is deemed invalid. Despite these setbacks the 2023 financial matters have now been resolved allowing focus to shift to the 2024 financial activities which are more complex due to earnings exceeding $50,000. The new financial advisor is diligently addressing the 2024 financial audit and 990 filing to ensure compliance and accuracy.
