“On august 28, 2021, we coordinated nationwide marches for march on for voting rights, a nonviolent, nonpartisan mass mobilization to demand that elected officials protect democracy, denounce voter suppression and ensure fair, easy access to the vote for all through the passage of comprehensive federal legislation. Over the course of 2021, through our climate finance-focused campaign, tokala, we trained, coached, funded, and amplified the youth climate justice movement with the unifying goal of ending financing for the fossil fuel industry. We trained over 600 young people in organizing skills and political education, granted nearly $135,000 through the youth direct action fund, and coached 84 local youth-led organizations to take part in critical direct actions in the name of ending fossil fuel funding. We established future democrats pac as a new hybrid pac, for youth, by youth.”
