Mission

To advance apparel designers and entrepreneurs in growing their brands in a sustainable and thoughtful way by offering physical workspace, educational workshops and contract services such as pattern making, sample making, and small batch production.

Sew valley is an art and design nonprofit service organization with the mission to provide the midwest community of fashion designer/entrepreneurs with resources and technology to build a scalable, sustainable and responsibly sewn product and brand. Through our flexible work space, we provide opportunities for membership, production services, and education.

On july 7, 2020, the organization filed an amendment to their articles of incorporation in the state of ohio and also updated their code of regulations. Signficiant changes include: updating the purpose/mission statement of the organization; adding clarity the dissolution sections; updating the conflict of interest policy; increased the number of board members from three to five/not more than fifteen; added procedures for the approval of officer compensation; and clarified the duties of officers and responsibilities of board members.
