Spectrum Fusions primary exempt purpose is to increase the quality of life for adults on the autism spectrum by improving emotional well-being, fostering a sense of belonging and community, and helping individuals find their purpose through meaningful engagement.

The Reactor Room ProgramServices Provided: The services provided by The Reactor Room Program include identifying relevant connections within the business community to create new opportunities that are in line with a participant's areas of strengths and interests resulting in meaningful and sustainable career outcomes.The Number of Persons Benefited from the Program: The number of persons benefited from the Reactor Room Program is sixteen (16).Outcomes include paid employment, internships, paid projects, and internships. Ten (10) adults are on the waiting list for the program.Relevant Program Information: The Reactor Room Program is the first of its kind and is a new kind of Think Tank for adults on the autism spectrum. The Reactor Room Program provides an innovative solution to engage adults on the autism spectrum who are disconnected from society and unemployed. Unlike other programs, the Reactor Room Program is a social impact initiative addressing the pressing social challenge that children on the spectrum are reaching adulthood without meaningful opportunities to develop their skill sets. This program brings the community together to share connections that provide new possibilities for each participant.The Reactor Room Program expenses $26,999$26,999-
Spectrum Fusion CommunityServices Provided: The services provided by the Spectrum Fusion Community Program include social groups that provide opportunities for social connection and relationship building, foster a sense of belonging, and develop common interests. Four groups are offered to our community members. Writing Fusion: Bringing together creative adults to share their passions in scriptwriting, storytelling, short story writing, and animation.Music Fusion: Participants come together to play a variety of musical instruments.Healthy Fusion: A group that teaches participants about healthy eating and making positive lifestyle changes while preparing a new recipe each week.Celebrations and Social Outings: The participants and their families celebrate important milestones including graduations, birthdays.The Number of Persons Benefited: The number of persons benefited from the Spectrum Fusion Community is fifty-seven (57).Relevant Program Information: It is well-documented that adults on the autism spectrum report feelings of loneliness and isolation. Moreover, the suicide rate for autistic adults is five times greater than adults without autism. Published research in mental health indicates that individuals who report having a sense of belonging show greater long-term success in their outcomes than those individuals who are isolated or merely have social support. The Spectrum Fusion community fosters a sense of belonging and these and these outcomes are measured through our collaboration with Rice University. Spectrum Fusion collected and analyzed data including measures of psychological well-being. Findings revealed statistically significant improvement in outcomes of depression, hopelessness, and sense of belonging. Ten adults on the autism spectrum will be placed into positions of employment.Relevant Program Information: Published studies in the United States, UK, Australia, Canada all report high rates of unemployment for adults on the autism spectrum compared to those with other disabilities. Estimates continue to suggest that the unemployment rate is as high as 85 percent for autistic adults. The estimated yearly costs of individuals on the autism spectrum in the US is estimated to be $236 billion dollars.
