“Over 75+ YJF clients received direct services in 2020 throughout Southeastern Michigan. YJF clients found employment with our assistance, gained admission to a community college or university, one received an MSW graduate degree at the University of Michigan. A partnership was established with Wisemind PLLC, which offers trauma-informed therapy with a specialization in correctional populations. A partnership was established with the State Appellate Defenders Office (SADO), which works to help resentence MDOC prisoners such as the juvenile lifer population. Offered dozens of trauma-informed workshops in the community, particularly a three-day summer camp in Northern Michigan. In addition, clients experienced several art-therapy workshops throughout the year and a group counseling program funded by YJF.”

YJF clients found employment with our assistance, gained admission to a community college or university, one received an MSW graduate degree at the University of Michigan. A partnership was established with Wisemind PLLC, which offers trauma-informed therapy with a specialization in correctional populations. A partnership was established with the State Appellate Defenders Office (SADO), which works to help resentence MDOC prisoners such as the juvenile lifer population. Offered dozens of trauma-informed workshops in the community, particularly a three-day summer camp in Northern Michigan. In addition, clients experienced several art-therapy workshops throughout the year and a group counseling program funded by YJF. |

Due diligence was exercised by both the Executive Director and Board with a solution being found in the retainment of a third party accountant, Mario Bueno. |
