Form 990, Part I and III: Designed For Joy is a transitional work experience for women coming from trafficking, homelessness, time in prison, overcoming addiction or other vulnerable situations. We provide living wage work hours while building confidence and refreshing resumes. We are launching equipped women into the marketplace. Form 990, Part III, Line 4: Our products are created with ethically sourced materials and hand crafted by our professionally trained artisans. Ethical and sustainable products and living wage jobs are a valuable investment and we are excited to lead the conversation in Raleigh, NC.

Since 2017, we have employed 142 women and paid over $500,000 in living wages. In 2023, Designed For Joy provided over 8,600 hours of employment. Women in the Designed For Joy program have gone on to full-time, safe, and dignified work, purchased cars, and regained a sense of self worth.
