“Refugees enrichment and development association, inc. (reda) was founded in 2017 as a california non-profit 501c (3) and tax-exempt charitable organization. Reda is dedicated to filling the gap in refugee support services and resources by providing unlimited free continuous support to the refugee communities after the initial limited 90 days support period they receive from their assigned resettlement agency. To achieve this objective, reda opened its first project, a culturally sensitive refugee social service center (rssc) that provides refugee and immigrant families with critical support for their day-to-day needs through dedicated case management staff and volunteers and collaboration with community resources. The rssc center helps refugees navigate the complex processes of the us medical, education, employment, housing, and or social service systems. This is done through various programs reda started to implement. The first program reda established was the intensive case nonemergent program. In this program, the reda case managers advocate for individuals and families while helping to navigate through the system; they also help them fill out applications, make appointments, sort their mail, and connect them with governmental and community resources. In addition, refugees are connected to employment opportunities and are supported in terms of education through a tutoring club, and educational workshops covering various topics such as financial literacy, parenting, and their rights and responsibilities within the systemetc.in addition to redas rssc service center, reda added more programs that directly help the refugee communities. Among those programs, reda offers a suicide and early prevention program to the arabic-speaking community in sacramento, this program helps refugee men, women, and youth by screening them to identify any early signs of potential suicidal thoughts so that they get early intervention support and help to address the sources of their stresses/stigmas before it reaches that severe level. Reda, in 2024, has partnered with another local community-based organization and opened the first culturally sensitive bilingual montessori preschool that serves children 2 to 5 years old which ended up to be the first of its kind in the region reda serves. It enabled young refugee parents to be able to place their young children in a culturally sensitive preschool so they can have the time to go out to work or acquire new education that would enhance their working skills so they can get better jobs. Also, in 2024, reda increased the outreach to its economic empowerment program which help refugees in general and the afghan community, in particular, that helps newly arrived afghan refugees to get vocational training to gain needed job skills/licenses that would allow them to get a job faster.furthermore, in 2024, reda also enhanced its education center that offers an english language program that helps the entire refugee family improve their english languages conversational skills, by adding more bilingual english teacher. In addition, reda also enhanced its school tutoring program that helps middle and high schoolers addressing their academic challenges by recruiting more tutoring volunteers from uc davis and sac state. Reda also continued to offer the following programs to the refugee communities: an ocean retreat program, an emergency financial assistance program, educational and recreational field trips for youth and adults. Reda received its second award of recognition as most valued partner from san juan school district for the scholastic year of 2023/2024, for the second year in a row.reda has planned to expand its programs more in 2025 by addressing more youth related issues and strive to add ore advocacy for the youth challenges. It is also planning to expand its partnerships with the academic institutions.”

(REDA) WAS FOUNDED IN 2017 AS A CALIFORNIA NON-PROFIT 501C (3) AND TAX-EXEMPT CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. REDA IS DEDICATED TO FILLING THE GAP IN REFUGEE SUPPORT SERVICES AND RESOURCES BY PROVIDING UNLIMITED FREE CONTINUOUS SUPPORT TO THE REFUGEE COMMUNITIES AFTER THE INITIAL LIMITED 90 DAYS SUPPORT PERIOD THEY RECEIVE FROM THEIR ASSIGNED RESETTLEMENT AGENCY. TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECTIVE, REDA OPENED ITS FIRST PROJECT, A CULTURALLY SENSITIVE REFUGEE SOCIAL SERVICE CENTER (RSSC) THAT PROVIDES REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT FAMILIES WITH CRITICAL SUPPORT FOR THEIR DAY-TO-DAY NEEDS THROUGH DEDICATED CASE MANAGEMENT STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS AND COLLABORATION WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THE RSSC CENTER HELPS REFUGEES NAVIGATE THE COMPLEX PROCESSES OF THE US MEDICAL, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, HOUSING, AND OR SOCIAL SERVICE SYSTEMS. THIS IS DONE THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS REDA STARTED TO IMPLEMENT. THE FIRST PROGRAM REDA ESTABLISHED WAS THE INTENSIVE CASE NONEMERGENT PROGRAM. IN THIS PROGRAM, THE REDA CASE MANAGERS ADVOCATE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHILE HELPING TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE SYSTEM; THEY ALSO HELP THEM FILL OUT APPLICATIONS, MAKE APPOINTMENTS, SORT THEIR MAIL, AND CONNECT THEM WITH GOVERNMENTAL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES. IN ADDITION, REFUGEES ARE CONNECTED TO EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND ARE SUPPORTED IN TERMS OF EDUCATION THROUGH A TUTORING CLUB, AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS COVERING VARIOUS TOPICS SUCH AS FINANCIAL LITERACY, PARENTING, AND THEIR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE SYSTEMETC.IN ADDITION TO REDAS RSSC SERVICE CENTER, REDA ADDED MORE PROGRAMS THAT DIRECTLY HELP THE REFUGEE COMMUNITIES. AMONG THOSE PROGRAMS, REDA OFFERS A SUICIDE AND EARLY PREVENTION PROGRAM TO THE ARABIC-SPEAKING COMMUNITY IN SACRAMENTO, THIS PROGRAM HELPS REFUGEE MEN, WOMEN, AND YOUTH BY SCREENING THEM TO IDENTIFY ANY EARLY SIGNS OF POTENTIAL SUICIDAL THOUGHTS SO THAT THEY GET EARLY INTERVENTION SUPPORT AND HELP TO ADDRESS THE SOURCES OF THEIR STRESSES/STIGMAS BEFORE IT REACHES THAT SEVERE LEVEL. REDA, IN 2024, HAS PARTNERED WITH ANOTHER LOCAL COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION AND OPENED THE FIRST CULTURALLY SENSITIVE BILINGUAL MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL THAT SERVES CHILDREN 2 TO 5 YEARS OLD WHICH ENDED UP TO BE THE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THE REGION REDA SERVES. IT ENABLED YOUNG REFUGEE PARENTS TO BE ABLE TO PLACE THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN IN A CULTURALLY SENSITIVE PRESCHOOL SO THEY CAN HAVE THE TIME TO GO OUT TO WORK OR ACQUIRE NEW EDUCATION THAT WOULD ENHANCE THEIR WORKING SKILLS SO THEY CAN GET BETTER JOBS. ALSO, IN 2024, REDA INCREASED THE OUTREACH TO ITS ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM WHICH HELP REFUGEES IN GENERAL AND THE AFGHAN COMMUNITY, IN PARTICULAR, THAT HELPS NEWLY ARRIVED AFGHAN REFUGEES TO GET VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO GAIN NEEDED JOB SKILLS/LICENSES THAT WOULD ALLOW THEM TO GET A JOB FASTER.FURTHERMORE, IN 2024, REDA ALSO ENHANCED ITS EDUCATION CENTER THAT OFFERS AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM THAT HELPS THE ENTIRE REFUGEE FAMILY IMPROVE THEIR ENGLISH LANGUAGES CONVERSATIONAL SKILLS, BY ADDING MORE BILINGUAL ENGLISH TEACHER. IN ADDITION, REDA ALSO ENHANCED ITS SCHOOL TUTORING PROGRAM THAT HELPS MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLERS ADDRESSING THEIR ACADEMIC CHALLENGES BY RECRUITING MORE TUTORING VOLUNTEERS FROM UC DAVIS AND SAC STATE. REDA ALSO CONTINUED TO OFFER THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS TO THE REFUGEE COMMUNITIES: AN OCEAN RETREAT PROGRAM, AN EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL FIELD TRIPS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS. REDA RECEIVED ITS SECOND AWARD OF RECOGNITION AS MOST VALUED PARTNER FROM SAN JUAN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE SCHOLASTIC YEAR OF 2023/2024, FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW.REDA HAS PLANNED TO EXPAND ITS PROGRAMS MORE IN 2025 BY ADDRESSING MORE YOUTH RELATED ISSUES AND STRIVE TO ADD ORE ADVOCACY FOR THE YOUTH CHALLENGES.
