Mission

To improve the health of communities and the nation through the service of nurses on boards and other bodies. All boards benefit from the unique perspective of nurses to achieve the goals of improved health, efficient and effective health care systems at the local, state and national levels. The coalition defines a board as a decision-making body with strategic influence to improve the health of communities nationwide. This includes corporate, government, non-profit, advisory, governance boards or commissions, panels or task forces that have fiduciary or strategic responsibility.

The members in good standing shall elect, by affirmative vote, electronically or in person, at the members' annual meeting, the number of the individuals necessary to fill the positions of those directors whose terms are due to expire, any vacancies that have not previously been filled, or any newly-created directorships.
